Getting back to shape is ayn't no easy.
6-pack abs, V shaped back and big biceps are what most men @ gym try to build. Only a few of them are able to build such body and are easily noticeable anywhere in the gym. Rest of them are either trying to be like them or counting calories burnt to loose what they had gained in lunch at MacDonald’s.
Unlike the two types of people as stated above, I want to be different and that's why I go to gym 3-4 times a week. I don't want hefty muscles to attract chicks from pubs / dance clubs. All I am interested is in maintaining my body weight and shape.
Back in the days, I used to go / come from school by walk. The school activities, tennis and cricket kept me rocking, eat a one medium Pizza and yet stay healthy. I started to feel the difference - of not doing any of the above activities and still have same / more quantity of food when I went to California after my graduation.
No wonder that I gained 18 lbs and was exhausted while walking to school when I was back to Jersey. 6 months after critical times of job search, Vijay and I joined Gold’s gym. All we did is cardio and it took 4 months to get back to my previous weight. Point to be noted is, I gained same amount of weight within 1.5 months in gaining and it took 4 months to cut down.
It's the same story when I was off to India trip and moved to Arkansas for Hectic 12-14 hr schedule a day at Wal-Mart. This time, I gained 22 lbs and lost half of my hair due to work stress and change in everything (food, eat, sleep, work duration etc). Once I am back to Gym after Wal-Mart project, I lost 18 lbs of those 22 and couldn't loose rest 4 lbs no matter what. Again, it took approx. 3-4 months to get back in my shape.
As you could see, discontinuity and disorder of daily activities and food resulted in quick gain of weight. But on the contrary it takes a lot of time to reverse it. Though my boss, Alex Lutskiy, hardly have any time to workout he is still in shape, just because he has been working out since he was young and still does Bow Flex, even now at least twice a week. Lately, there is nothing much to say about my shape except for the below picture.

Based on suggestions from the other bloggers, control of diet, cut down of calories, boosting up the protein would help build your body from bulky tires (tummy) to 6 pack abs. Not that I don't want to have 6 pack abs, but it requires a lot of dedication, which I rather want invest in something important. So, that's way - getting back to shape is ayn't no easy (at least for me).
